Back and revealing skeletons in the closet

Hello, It's Jadine.
I started here back in Jan 2004, I found fantastic artists that I looked up to more than anything on the internet. I drew from their drawings to learn anatomy and wanted to be the best. I wanted to be looked up to just like my heroes.
Well, being young and stupid I posted something I shouldn't have that I heavily referenced, and boy did it get noticed. It even started a thread on this very sight. http://www.lilymud.net/showthread.ph...ghlight=jadine
and I got talked about, and talked to a whole lot, (not very nice things, but I deserved it) I got warnings and even encouragements to branch out on my own, so I started to pay more attention to my art and less attention to my heroes. I decided to try my best and be me, instead of them. . .
Anyway, I'm back and better than I used to be, I study anatomy from books and photo's now, and I come up with my own poses rather than looking at other peoples.
It's been 7 years since that posting about me. But I've been wanting to talk about it since.

Welcome back. Takes a lot of bravery to do what you just did. Kudos.

You know, all kids trace and copy--the internet just makes it easy to share that drawing with the world. Good job addressing the issue and bettering yourself for the experience.

In my experience, people are far more willing to forgive when someone admits to a mistake and learns from it, then when they continue to try to cover it up.

You did the brave, mature thing by admitting to it and have clearly learned from it, so there's no reason anyone should harass you about a mistake made a long time ago.
