Trade with Tabery Chan

Tabery

I wish I could have added shadow at the time of this drawing; I didn't know how to shade (even using layers) on the fur without covering the outlines. I'm not even sure how I got the shadow on the white fur to work out...

It's so cute ^___^ and as for the shading, maybe I could help you =3
Which program do you use to color your pics? ^^

I drew and colored Tabery using Adobe Illustrator...I've only made inproved shadow in Photoshop once, and that was just smudging the shadow that I already colored by hand on a picture that I drew and colored in Illustrator; I still don't like how the shadow looks. (picture below)

Nice pic!
Just everytime I see that charcater all I can think is Airguitar's lioness fursona.

The shadowing looks nice, but you might want to think a little bit more about likle the shapes you're shading. Like the shoulder has a rounded shape so your shadow would follow a little more of a curve.

You might want to even try drawing cubes, spheres, rectangular prisms and shading them with different light sources. It's an exercise I found in a book I bought on shading once and it helps a lot.
