Hmmm....

I need some help again ;P Hah. Umm anyway, please excuse the messieness of this sketch (and the big line down the middle... it's A3 in size so I had to scan in both halves).

*now for trying to explain the picture*
Basicly the creatures in this picture are my made up species, Okibi (although they look mainly like wolves so far). The two at the front (to the left, Kahn, to the right Loika), basicly Kahn is angry at Loika, thus threatening her to keep her mouth shut about what she discovered. Loika bugs me intensely... I can't work out what it is about her. The one in the distance also bugs me. Meep... any help with that would be appreciated.

Also, the houses (well, they were meant to be more like huts) - I don't really know how to make them look more run down and that. They're meant to be really ugly little huts where all the workers live.

Ughh, hope that made sense... please help!

EDIT - Hmmm..... *mucks about with the attachment* ugggh! Show up stupid thing ;P Well.... it said it worked.... if anyone can actually see it (I can't seem to find it lmao) ummmmm....

I'm not to good with giving critism so I will let an expert do that. But I can tell you why you cant see your attachment. Some of the layouts or skins here dont show attachments. I know that the grasslands skin doesn't show attatchments. So you might want to change it.

I can't really tell what the one on the left is doing... laying on the lawn? Jumping?

And is the one in the background supposed to be bigger than the buidlings? :p

Those things were the most confusing to me, aside from that, nice work on perspective.

Hmm, the left one is meant to be growling in a kind of protective pose (but it probably does look more like she's lying down lol)

Argh! I didn't realise how big the one in the background was lol! ^^;;

yet another quickcameronredline. The big head is a snarling wolf's head . . . i think.

Anyway. One of the reasons she looks like she's laying is because the perspective is off. The background looks like you're viewing it from a high altitude, but the wolves look like you're viewing them just a tiny bit above eye level. I don't know a lot about it, but if you bring the horizon line quite a bit lower, it should work.

better, but the horizon should be lower still. Also, legs should get thinner as they taper down. The tail on the running one should get skinnier as it goes towards the . . . erm . . . rump area. That's because the tail is an extension of the spine.

good work so far, though.

Lowering the horizon line is a pain, you'd have to rework all the buildings and everything. As an alternative, you might move the characters in the foreground back about a third of the length of that building. Then you could crop it a slight bit to get rid of the extra space that that would result in. I like the buildings, and it would be a shame to have to redo everything for the sake of that horizon line, and I think moving back the chars in the foreground would fix it, not entirely, but enough to make it not be awkward.

The pose on the one on the left- it still doesn't read to me as leaping, more like hanging in midair. Try looking at real pics of canines leaping-

Watch the way their spine curves, and how their legs are placed. There are many different ways to leap, and having all four feet exactly even isn't necesarily the most common.

Ooh, thanks for that alternative suggestion, I wasn't really too sure how to go about lowering the horizon and stuff anyway ^^;;; Those pictures are really helpful, thanks
